Event 1: NYC Pride Parade: NYC Pride
Date: 6/25/2023
Time: Noon

The first event was the NYC Pride Parade, in which the health advocacy contingent was led by the dedicated members of the New York State Nurses Association. This parade traditionally gets a ton of media coverage and was a great opportunity to showcase our solidarity and advocate for comprehensive healthcare reform to a mainstream audience.

Event 2: Queer Liberation March: Reclaim Pride
Date: 6/25/2023
Time: 2:00 PM Rally, 3:30 PM March

The second event was the Queer Liberation March organized by the Reclaim Pride Coalition. This march embodies the true spirit of pride, emphasizing grassroots activism and amplifying the voices of marginalized communities. We were excited to march alongside allied groups like the Campaign for NY Health, NYC DSA, Callen Lorde and others, as we collectively advocate for equitable and inclusive healthcare through the NY Health Act.

Together, we can inspire change, foster unity, and ensure that every individual receives the care they deserve.
