PNHP-NY Metro is thrilled to announce we will be honoring Dr. Mary Bassett's dedication to universal health care and a broad range of health justice issues. Appointed by Mayor de Blasio, Dr. Bassett began serving as our city's health commissioner in February. Read the Capital New York article about Dr. Bassett, which quotes her as saying, "Public health has at its root the quest for social justice.”
Our 2014 gala will take place at the beautiful Alger House in Greenwich Village, at 45 Downing Street @7th Avenue, one block North of Houston Street.
