Over the last year, we have ramped up our organizing and programming efforts, including:

🎯 Collaborating both locally and nationally to fight the increasing attempts to privatize Medicare
🎯 Training healthcare workers to effectively share their stories of how our current insurance system impacts their ability to provide care.
🎯 Increasing outreach to professional organizations and unions to promote the NY Health Act.
🎯 Monthly educational forums with focuses ranging from American pharmaceutical pricing to insurance’s impact on substance use.
🎯 Enhancing collaboration with movement partners to advance health justice initiatives.
🎯 Expanding traditional and social media strategy to more effectively a broader audience regarding single payer healthcare.

Due to the increasing COVID cases in New York City, and the implementation of a High Alert by the City’s health professionals, we have made the difficult decision to transition our Gala to a fully remote event.  We appreciate your understanding, and we look forward to celebrating with you in person when we can safely do so.  Until that option arises, we are happy to be able to recognize Single-Payer Champions remotely, and will forge ahead with a condensed program on Zoom!

We are proud to introduce our health justice honorees:
