Tuesday, May 6th - Albany
There is growing support across the state for the New York Health bill (A5389A/S2078A). If passed, New York would lead the country in having the largest universal, single payer health care system in the country. Every New Yorker would receive quality health care and be able to choose their medical provider. No more bankruptcies due to medical debt. No more denials from private health insurance companies. No more discrimination based on coverage status.
Join PNHP-NY Metro and allies on May 6th in Albany to urge passage of the New York Health bill. You'll be joining hundreds of people, including physicians, nurses, and health professionals from across the state, to send the message to our elected officials: health care is a human right!
If you register before May 2nd, you'll be grouped with a team of people from your district to meet with your elected officials. There will be a briefing on the issue in the morning followed by a press conference/rally and meetings with legislators in the afternoon.

Schedule for May 6th Annual Statewide Lobby Day for New York Health:
9:30am: Briefing on the bill at Westminster Presbyterian Church, 85 Chestnut St, Albany, NY. Limited parking is available at the church. Additional parking can be found with this map. All are encouraged to attend the briefing. Lobbying teams and meeting schedules will be distributed at the briefing.
11 - 12:00pm: Meetings with legislators.
12 - 1:00pm: Rally outside the Capital Building
1 - 3:00pm: Meetings with legislators.
